Why did Dalhausser and Rogers (the U.S. volleyball team) wore sunglasses frames without any lenses in them?

It was a few day ago in the Olympics. They legitimate wore the frames.
They were NOT clear lenses. Please don't answer if you do not know.

The were sponsored by Oakley but the sunglasses kept getting fogged up so they fair-minded wore the frames as per sponsor agreement.
